Inside every Lightswing® package, you will find a QR code on the inside of the box. By scanning this QR code with your phone’s camera, you will be automatically redirected to the digital manual. This digital manual includes helpful videos that show you how to mount the Lightswing®. The manual can also be found at www.lightswing.eu/manual/

Yes, of course! If you prefer to assemble the Lightswing with the aid of a paper manual, it is best to send an e-mail to support@lightswing.eu. In this way, we can make sure that you receive the paper version as quickly as possible!
The Lightswing® is delivered pre-assembled, and you can install it yourself to the ceiling. However, it is important to follow the instructions carefully. The manual provides a step-by-step guide to ensure proper installation. If you’re unsure about installing the Lightswing® yourself, you can review the PDF manual in advance to get an idea of what to expect.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to have the Lightswing® mounted by us. However, you can hire an installer or electrician for this purpose.
For the installation of the Lightswing®, you will need the following tools: a drill, screwdriver, power screwdriver, and wire stripper. In addition to the tools, you will also need four screws and plugs, which are not included with your Lightswing®. Depending on the material of your ceiling, you can determine which screws and plugs are suitable.
Yes, it is necessary to drill 4 holes in your ceiling to mount the Lightswing®. The round base plate of the Lightswing® is secured to the ceiling with four screws. Then you can slide and rotate the arm of the Lightswing®, allowing you to move the pendant lamp freely.
Please note: screws and plugs for attaching the Lightswing® are not included.
Please note: screws and plugs for attaching the Lightswing® are not included.
It is especially important to check whether the screw heads fit precisely into the recess of the Lightswing® and do not protrude. We recommend using screws with a flat screw head of at least 5mm and maximum 7mm for the Lightswing® attachment. The screws should be at least 5cm long. The most suitable plugs vary depending on the material and screw used. Depending on the material of your ceiling, you can determine which ones are suitable for you.

Yes, it is necessary to turn off the power before installing the Lightswing®. This is for safety reasons, as working with electrical wires can be dangerous if the power is not turned off. Make sure to turn off the power at the circuit breaker before starting the installation process.
With the help of the mounting ring, you can place the Lightswing® in any desired location. There are several reasons to use the mounting ring during the Lightswing® installation. For example, with the mounting ring, the Lightswing® does not have to be placed directly over the ceiling box. Because the Lightswing® hangs about 2.5 cm away from the ceiling with the mounting ring, the Lightswing® can still rotate freely if a cable duct is needed, and there is enough space in the mounting ring to neatly hide the wiring.
In the mounting ring, there is a recess. Push it out of the mounting ring. Thread your electrical cable through it. Then connect the wires of the Lightswing® to this electrical cable. This way, your Lightswing® is powered and the mounting ring hangs straight along the ceiling.
First, mount the mounting ring to the ceiling in the spot where you want to install the Lightswing®. Use the large holes in the mounting ring for this. Then, place the Lightswing® against the mounting ring and make sure the holes in the base plate of the Lightswing® align with the small holes in the mounting ring. Use a cross-head screwdriver and the 4 screws provided to fasten the Lightswing® to the mounting ring.
The Quick Release is a coupling device that allows you to attach the pendant lamp to the Lightswing®. The Lightswing® Single has 1 Quick Release, while the Lightswing® Twin has 2 Quick Releases. You can slide the Quick Release out of the end of the Lightswing®, regardless of whether there is a pendant lamp attached to it or not. With the Quick Release, you can easily hang up your pendant lamp, but also temporarily remove it.
Take the Quick Release out of the Lightswing® and use a screwdriver to loosen one of the cable clamps and remove the other screw completely so that you can easily feed the lamp cord through it. Attach the wires in the terminal block and tighten the cable clamps. Also, tighten the cable clamps again. You can view the PDF manual (step 10) or the installation video for a complete explanation.
Snap the cover caps onto the base plate of the Lightswing® so that the screws that are used to attach the Lightswing® are no longer visible. The cover caps provide a nice finish for the Lightswing®. When placing the cover caps, it is important that the Lightswing® hangs straight along the ceiling. You adjust the Lightswing® using the adjustable foot. Then check if the screws used to attach the Lightswing® are deep enough in the recess. If the screws are sticking out, the cover caps can get caught when turning the Lightswing®.
For a good explanation on how to apply the cover caps, you can view the instructions for installing the cover caps in the manual or watch the installation video for the cover caps.
First, check if the cover caps are properly secured. When attaching them, you should hear a click indicating that they are hooked together. If the cover caps are hooked together but come loose when you rotate the arm of the Lightswing®, it is likely that the screws used to attach the Lightswing® are not deep enough in the intended recess. Try screwing the screws all the way into the recess and use screws with a flat head that fit well into the recess.
The long transparent bolt is necessary when you attach the Lightswing® not directly to the ceiling, but to the mounting ring. The mounting ring provides more distance between the ceiling and the Lightswing®. To be able to adjust the Lightswing® properly along the ceiling, you also need a longer bolt that bridges this distance between the Lightswing® and the ceiling. You can easily remove the short bolt from the Lightswing® and replace it with the longer one.
Do you have a pendant lamp that hangs from both a cord and a wire or chain? It is possible to mount screw eyes on the end of the Lightswing® where the wire or chain can be attached. The screw eyes are included with your order. In the video, you can see how to attach the screw eye to the Lightswing®.
Your Lightswing® has an anti-rotation safety feature. This safety feature ensures that the Lightswing® locks after (approximately) two rotations of the base plate. The Lightswing® cannot rotate further after that. Is the base plate stuck? Rotate the base plate a little back before attaching the Lightswing® to the ceiling.
The included leveling feet can be used to adjust the Lightswing® straight along the ceiling and to provide additional support. To do this, first place the transparent leveling foot (round) over the transparent bolt at the end of the Lightswing®. Then turn the leveling foot until the Lightswing® is level.
