At Lightswing® we are in full development. We are working on the positioning of our brand and expanding our innovative product portfolio with smart lighting solutions. As a Product Development intern, you play a valuable role in this process. With your fresh perspective, creative ideas, and investigative mindset, you help us turn concepts into smart, feasible, and distinctive products.
Here you will learn
Lightswing® is part of Illumade B.V., a company that develops innovative products. It started with the Lightswing® Single, a suspension system for pendant lights that lets you easily change the position of your lamp. Since then, the brand has grown significantly, and our products are now available at lighting specialists, hardware stores, online platforms, and in our own webshop.
After the summer, we will launch a new range of products that, as our slogan says, are Bright Solutions, and you can be part of that. As a Product Development intern, you will help design new products and further develop existing ones. You will research technical innovations and apply them to promising product ideas. You will also conduct trend research, translate interior design trends into new concepts, and develop these into prototypes.
You will do this
Develop new innovative products.
Improve existing products.
Work with and learn from professionals in the field.
Create and test prototypes using our high-speed 3D printer.
Contribute ideas for product lines and support ongoing design projects.

What you bring to Illumade
You are in the third year of a bachelor’s or master’s program in Product Design, IPO, or a related field.
You are looking for an internship starting in February 2026, lasting 3 to 6 months.
You can manage the full design process: orientation, analysis, idea generation, concepting, and realization.
You have creative and innovative ideas and enjoy sharing them.
You have experience with programs like Fusion 360 or SolidWorks and Adobe Creative Suite.
You are an enthusiastic, hard-working, proactive, eager-to-learn, and results-driven person.
